About Us
Craft Mosaic Lounge started as one folding table and a box of glass — the idea was simple: give people two uninterrupted hours to make something with their hands.
The Studio
We pack the studio into a handful of cases and set up in a new city every few weeks — a hotel ballroom, a gallery, a borrowed loft. The table changes. The pace doesn't: no rushing, no mass production, just glass, grout, and time.
Every instructor at the table is a working artist first. They're there to help you make your piece, not to keep you on schedule.
The Result
The pieces that leave our tables end up on windowsills, nightstands and terraces — small lights with a whole afternoon inside.
What We Believe
Genuine glass and grout, the same a working mosaicist would use — no shortcuts, no plastic stand-ins.
We cap every session so an instructor can actually see what you're making and help.
No art background required. We've taught first-timers and working artists at the same table.
"We're not trying to teach a technique in two hours. We're trying to give you a reason to sit still long enough to make something." Studio Founder, Craft Mosaic Lounge
Questions
Craft Mosaic Lounge focuses specifically on glass mosaic work rather than a mix of crafts, keeps tables small so instructors can actually help each guest, and travels between U.S. cities instead of operating from one fixed location.
Every session is led by a working artist, not a general event host — someone who makes mosaic work themselves and can guide color choices and technique, not just supervise.
It's a traveling pop-up studio. Sessions are hosted in different U.S. cities on a rotating schedule, with new dates announced monthly.
Sessions use real glass tesserae and adhesive — the same materials a working mosaicist would use — rather than plastic or paper substitutes.
Yes, it's one of the more approachable crafts to start with, since you're arranging and gluing pre-cut glass pieces rather than starting from raw materials or needing prior technique.
